During the October half term, The Decision Factory (TDF) hosted this year’s Black Youth in Business event.
As part of the two day event, students built their lego city, providing an opportunity to further develop the skills and knowledge that they learnt as part of the programme.
We’re pleased to celebrate Raphel as the winner of our 2020 prize – well done!
We also want to congratulate our joint runners-up, Kimora, Caleb and Ramario for their entries to the city design project, fantastic effort.
The event brought together 21 male and female students for a two day virtual programme of learning supported by Arup Group. Some students were also hosted remotely under COVID-19 safe conditions at Millennium Powerhouse, Manchester. TDF attendees were also supported by 84 Youth, assisting young people at the centre.
Arup assisted TDF by offering a group of their highly skilled workforce to give the students a series of presentations on the following subjects:
- Civil Engineering
- Town Planning
- Bridge Design
- Project Management
- Digital Consulting
